Do I need previous experience to try scuba?
No. Discover Scuba Diving is designed for complete beginners. You do not need any previous scuba experience or certification.
How old do I need to be to try scuba diving?
The minimum age for our Discover Scuba Diving experience is 10 years old. The SSI Open Water Diver course is also available from age 10.
What time are the beginner sessions?
Discover Scuba Diving sessions are available at 09:00 and 13:45. Courses have their own schedules, which are shown on the relevant course page.
How long does Discover Scuba Diving take?
Allow around 3 hours for the full Discover Scuba Diving experience, including the briefing, equipment preparation and the dive itself.
Is scuba equipment included?
Yes. The required scuba equipment is included in our diving experiences and courses unless the activity page specifically states otherwise.
Are photos included?
Yes. Photos are included with our diving experiences, so you can keep a memory of your dives with Poseidon.
Do you offer pickup?
Pickup in Protaras and Pernera is available for our diving guests. If you are staying elsewhere, contact us and we will let you know the available options.
What information should certified divers send?
Please tell us your certification level, approximately how many dives you have completed and when you last went diving. This helps us recommend suitable dive sites and organise the right group for you.
How do you choose dive sites for certified divers?
We take your certification, experience, recent diving history and what you would like to see into account. Depending on your level, options can include local shore dives, MUSAN, local wrecks and Zenobia.
Do I need a check dive before diving Zenobia?
Yes. We require a check dive before a Zenobia trip so we can confirm your comfort, weighting and diving skills before heading to the wreck. This is normally organised the day before.
How do I secure my booking?
A 30% deposit is required to confirm and secure your booking. Your place is not considered confirmed until the deposit has been received.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel less than 24 hours before your activity, the 30% deposit is non-refundable. If your plans change, contact us as early as possible.
Can I book every dive and course online?
Our main activities can be booked directly online, including Discover Scuba Diving, Discover Scuba + MUSAN, one or two local fun dives, SSI Open Water Diver and SSI Advanced Adventurer. For certified MUSAN dives, local wrecks, Zenobia and other courses, contact us directly so we can organise the right programme with you.

Do you offer discounts for multiple dives or groups?
Yes. Multi-day diving, groups and special requests can benefit from package discounts depending on the programme. Send us your dates, certification level, number of divers and the dives you are interested in, and we will help you build the best option.
